this is a work in progres - but it's certainly the most comprehensive compilation we've seen. check out the different bands and venues for local dance opporunities. i've checked out all of the bands' websites and have deemed them "danceable", but i can't guarantee how it will work out. so please provide some feedback when you check them out. also, if you know of some great bands and venues, let me know, and i can post them.

i see this initial phase as "reconnaisance", so get a group of people, head out, shake your groove thing, and let me know how it works out.

then we can pick our favorites and go from there. remember too, that it's summer, so many of these are outdoor, but live music is always fun.

West Coast Swing

• Sundays 7:00 - 10:00 - Madonna Inn with DJ Nancy - WCS, Latin, Ballroom
• 1st and 3rd Saturday 8:00 - 10:30 - The Dance Pavilion (WCS Mix) $5 cover (nice floor and drinks for sale next door)

Salsa

• Fridays - Cal Poly Salsa (8 pm lessons and 9 pm open dancing)

• Thursdays 8:30 til? The Graduate 2 Step, WCS, ECS, Cha ($8 cover for 18 - 20, $5 cover for 21 and over)
